Impregnating Resins

Phenolic resins act as binders in organic and inorganic fiber structures. The phenolic resin for rock wool production should have low viscosity and infinite solubility in water. If the application method is spray, it should be compatible and miscible with the components (buffer solutions, silanes, anti-dusting oils, etc.) required for production. The phenolic binder has good wetting properties on the fiber and small amounts of the usage should be enough to bind the fibers together.

The best advantage of phenolic resin usage in rock wool insulation material is fire retardant properties and also gives flexible structure.

These resins can be optimized according to customer process with different curing time and active solid matter content.
