BETANOL™ resin has been produced by Çukurova Kimya in many years. These types of alkaline phenolic binders in cold box system are curing with ester gas (methyl formate). Water-based BETANOL™ resin has a long working time after mixing with sand. BETANOL™ resin offers fast and easy usage owing to the advantages of high dimensional accuracy and low emission.
High-strength cores are obtained with BETANOL™ resins, which can be used in different sand types and temperatures, gain an average of 80 % of their maximum strength after gassing. Cores, prepared with BETANOL™ resins, have a high moisture resistance. BETANOL™ resin is used effectively in foundries that use cold box system.
